Winter Painting Camp 2013 - Prachee Arts & Studios

Spend your time painting with new friends, sharing your thoughts and creating new work.

The painting class is at Southeast library from 1:00 - 3:30 pm on Sunday December 22, 2013. We will be painting Peacock on Canvas. Color, brushes and canvas will be provided to you in class. Just bring apron, pencil and scale with you.  

The classes will be on December 24th from 10:00- 12:30 pm. The Classes will be held on 9551 Baymeadows Place # 18, Jacksonville, FL. We will be painting poinsettia flowers on tray. Supplies are included.

We have morning and afternoon session on December 26th from 9:30– 12:00 pm at 9551 Baymeadows Place # 18, and 1:00 - 3:30pm at Southeast Library. Learn to paint Penguin snow scene. All Supplies are included.

Each session cost $35.  If you sign all the sessions, you will get 5 % discount. 

Registration ends December 20th.

Kids Painting Class- August 2013

Dear Parents,

Kids Painting class are schedule to start on August 4th, 2013 at Southeast library in between 1:00- 5:00 pm. If your child is 5-6 yr old, classes are for 1 hour each week on Sunday. If your child's age is in between 7-10, classes are for 1:15 mins and if your child's age is 11 and up, classes are 1 1/2 every week on Sunday. Once the registration is complete, we will notify you of class timings per age level. Prices include all the supplies.

August 2-4 is tax free days and so is registration for above class. Since we don't charge tax to you, we decided to give you discount of  $20, if you sign up for kids classes in between August 2- August 4. 

Note: If we don't have enough kids per age level, we will combine the classes but skill levels will remain the same.

Beginner's One Stroke Painting Course

Beginner's One Stroke Painting Course 

One Stroke painting course starting from Saturday, August 3rd - September 7th from 2:00-3:30 pm at Mandarin HobbyLobby. The classes will be held every Saturday. You will need Folk Art Paints and One Stroke Brushes by Donna Dewberry available in Micheal's Arts & Craft stores. Following are the colors need to complete a projects:-
Thicket, Soft apple, yellow light, yellow ochre, wicker white, School bus yellow, Engine Red, Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, Midnight, Violet Pansy and ultramarine blue.
Floating Medium
11" x 14" canvas (4-5), and sponges. You will learn the following subjects:-
Ivy and One stroke leaves
Tear drop stroke for Hydrangeas
One Stroke signature Cabbage Roses
Variety of fruits (C Stroke, U stroke)

Adult Painting Class Summer 2013

Dear Friends,

Adults painting class will begin from July 20, 2013 from 2:00-3:30 pm at Mandarin Hobby Lobby (on Old St. Augustine Rd). Registration starts from June 15, 2013. Classes are once every week for 6 weeks for $135.

Tropical Sunset

You will need 16" x 20" canvas, folk art colors like yellow light, engine red, thicket, light green, ultramarine blue, wicker white, licorice, raw sienna, burnt umber. One Stroke brushes and sponge.




Bird of Song Painting

You will need 16" x 20" canvas, folk art colors like grass green, thicket, sunflower, wicker white, light green, raw sienna, burnt umber, berry wine, medium yellow. One stroke 1" flat brush and other regular one stroke brushes.






Sunflower and Pansies

One Day Workshop - Indian Rajasthani Painting

Hello Folks,

One day workshops are a new addition in Prachee Arts & Studios. It is the first time we will do workshop on Indian Rajasthani painting. Please see the picture below.

Rājasthānī painting,  the style of miniature painting that developed mainly in the independent Hindu states of Rājasthān in western India in the 16th–19th century. We have made it easy for you in step by step instruction. Some painting experience is required.  Our workshop is on August 3rd and October 5th, 2013 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Start off your experience with meeting new painting mates along with refreshments. All the supplies are included except your brushes and water basins. The workshop will be held in Jacksonville, FL. Summer Drawing and Painting Classes

Drawing and Painting classes starting from June 9th at Southeast library from 1pm-4:30pm. If you want combo of Drawing and Painting you pay $135 for 6 weeks. Sign up for another 6 weeks in advance to get $25 discount.

Drawing Classes - I will teach drawing classes at Mandarin Hobby Lobby from 2pm-4:30pm every Saturday starting from June 8th. The class fee is $80 per month. If you sign up before April 30th for all the three months (June, July and August) in advance, you get 10% discount.

Painting classes - I will teach painting classes on CR 210 St Johns County from June 4th every Tuesday from 6pm-7:30pm. Call me for more information on this location.

Rajasthani Painting

Dear Friends,
I was born in Rajasthani and always wanted to paint Rajasthani paintings. A little introduction about Rajasthani Paintings - Rajput paintings also known as Rajasthani paintings, is a style of Indian painting, evolved and flourished during the 18th century in the royal courts of Rajputana, India. Rajput paintings depict a number of themes, events of epics like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, Krishna’s life, beautiful landscapes, and humans. Many paintings were done on the walls of palaces, inner chambers of the forts,and  havelis.

This is one of my favorite painting. I found this beautiful picture on the internet and re-created this painting on 18" x 24" canvas using acrylics as my medium. I am a self taught artist and by painting this i learned many shades and techniques. I will be painting more paintings like these in near future.

The 3D heart, lotus and cupid effect is crafted using XPS insulation (thermal sheet) and decorated with colors and glitters. He handcrafted each and every single element of this frame including cutting of the ply wood. Dear Parents,

I am receiving many emails inquiry about kids classes.  The first painting project common for all the class levels is my abstract painting. This is easy but very interesting painting.  you will need to bring 11 x 14" canvas, painter's tape, and apron.

The other project for older kids will be strictly one stroke 'Tiger Lily.' The picture isn't that clear because of the glare. This will be on 8 x 10" canvas. Folk Art colors used here is yellow light, berry wine, yellow citron, thicket and black. I will be providing you with brushes.

My another project is beautiful fish under water. This we can do on glass or charger plate.We will use Folk Art Enamels colors and brushes. (Resource: Internet)
